Customer Relations Officer

Based in Launceston

About you

As the Customer Relations Officer, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining positive relations with customers who are in receipt of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plans. With a passion for providing exceptional customer service, you will engage with customers in person, over the phone and in writing to support them with staffing, rostering and plan enquiries, delivering exceptional customer service at all times.

Whilst experience within the Disability sector would be beneficial, if you are a passionate about customer service, have a desire to grow your knowledge and skills, and are looking for a new challenge then this may be the role for you.

 Key tasks and duties:

  • Maintain positive customer relations.
  • Liaise with customers, their families and external stakeholders, as it relates to their NDIS plan.
  • In conjunction with the Coordinator, develop and implement Individual’s goals and objectives relative to the NDIA packages.
  • Undertake problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution tasks relative to a customer’s program outcomes.
  • Assist with the recruitment, induction, orientation, supervision and direction of staff employed within the organisation.

 To be successful in this position you will:

  • Have exceptional customer service orientation with experience in problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Have a professional phone etiquette.
  • Have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to meet customer needs.
  • Have a strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time and prioritise plans and goals.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Have a current full driver’s licence and Working with Vulnerable People card, or the ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People card.

 If you are successful, you will be required to complete a satisfactory pre-employment health assessment, national police check, and complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality Safety and You.
